Speed Skating Club
The club was founded to promote and support speed skating in Ontario.
We are committed to offering a dynamic platform catering to children and youths aspiring to excel in speed skating. We aim to not just promote the sport but to provide invaluable professional guidance and support, nurturing the talents of budding skaters.
Head Coach
Leo Dong
Coach Leo is truly an expert in speed skating. He had gone through 6 years of systematic training in sports school, before entering into professional speed skating team in China for another 8 years. He won the Chinese National Championship in 2014, and attained silver in 2013.
Coach Leo enjoys imparting his skills to the younger ones. He is highly experienced in teaching and has been a great coach for 10 years. He has taught thousands of students, and some of them, are competing at high-level competitions just like what he did before.
Coach Leo said that he wishes to help students to achieve their dreams.

Drake Foo
Coach Drake Foo started coaching in 2018. He has a bachelor's in Kinesiology and has a certification in personal training. He competed at Canadian junior national competitions while he was training at the Olympic Oval in Calgary. Coach Drake enjoys teaching kids short-track speed skating techniques and helping skaters race well.

Zhang Hui
Coach Hui recently competed on the international stage racing at the 2020 Youth Olympics in Switzerland as a member of the Taiwan National team, where she earn a silver medal in the mixed relay. She spent 5 years training at a National sport school in Harbin China and spent 9 years in Shandong China as a member of their short-track development team. Meteor Speedskating welcomes her to the coaching team, as she brings her expertise to the ice and plans to teach technical skill to young skaters.
